FaceSay

An 11 yo student w/ Aspergers who participated in the first FaceSay Study was asked by a TV interviewer,
"What did you learn from playing FaceSay?"
  She replied...
"I learned that I need to look at both halves of the face.  I've been looking at the bottom half, at the mouth"

Maria Hopkins and Fred Biasini, who were both at the interview, looked at each other, half wondering if the other had coached MaryLeigh to say that.  It's exactly the sort of "Aha" that I had hoped the kids would discover for themselves by playing the the games and which I deliberately never mention (this or any other explicit lessons).

For an interesting interview w/ a software ceo that inspired me early on to think something like this is a) possible and b) would be helpful, you can google for "Bram Cohen Wrong Planet".

This can help me figure out what kinds of faces they are making.

She winked at me...
I like the praise and winking.
