We encourage you to read this Privacy Policy so you can understand what information we collect,  how we use it, what steps we take to protect your information and your rights.  This policy covers the personal information you provide to us both on this website and through other means (phone, fax, etc).This policy does not cover third party web sites.  For example, your financial information is protected by our third party payment processors, such as PayPal, BMTMicro and Digital River.  We encourage you to read the privacy policies of third party websites.

It's possible that our privacy policy may change at some point in the future.  Any personal information you provide us will be covered under our privacy policy that is in effect at the time you provide us with that information.

What Information Do We Collect?

Our cookies are safe and automatically disclose to your browser what we are capturing (via a technology known as P3P). If you prefer, you can adjust your browser settings to disable "cookies"

In addition to information about your purchases and free trial downloads of our products, contact and other information (e.g. your version of Windows, type of computer, etc) that you provide to us directly, we may store information from your visit to our facesay.com website, as well as publicly available information about your, your role in your organization, etc.  For example information, we may store information about you available on your LinkedIn profiles, research publications, private practice or school "about our staff" pages, etc.  

We do not store or even see credit card information.  Our third party payment processor handles credit card payments.

We do not collect or store information about your responses in FaceSay, unless you send us your FaceSay database file for troubleshooting.  The FaceSay data is otherwise stored only locally on your PC.  We do have access to information about when FaceSay is played on an ip address, but only if you played FaceSay when your PC was connected to the internet, which is not a requirement to play FaceSay.  

How do we use the information we collect?

Symbionica uses your personal information only to improve our products or fulfill your requests for products, services or information. We will not rent, sell or trade your personal information to any third party. 

There are three limited circumstances when we may disclose your peronsal information to a third party:

1) When we contract with a third party mailing, shipping or order processing firm to fulfill your requests for information, products or services.

2) If required by law or legal process, we will provide your personal information to third parties. We may also provide your personal information if we deem it to be in the interest of public safety.

3) In the event of a transfer of ownership, such as a Corporate Merger or Acquisition, we will provide notice before your peronsal information is transferred or becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

Symbionica uses the anonymous web browser information to help us fine tune our website, enhancing popular pages, reworking rarely used pages, adjusting our keywords, etc. For example, we look at reports that show us the number of visitors to a page over a period of time

How is the Information We Collect Protected?

Although no computer system is 100% secure, Symbionica values the security of your  information and takes reasonable steps to protect it.  We use a number of procedures and technologies to protect your personal information both when you submit it to us and while we maintain it in our systems. For example, we use industry standard security technologies such firewalls, password protection and Secure Socket Layers (SSL). Our web server and databases are maintained in a facility with reasonable physical protection.

In our procedures, we contract only with third parties - such as our payment processor, BMT Micro Inc. - to fulfill your requests only if they follow appropriate security practices. In addition, we share your personal information only with employees on a "need to know" basis.

You understand that the questions or comments you submit on FaceSay.com blog posts are publicly available information.

Steps you can take to help protect information
We encourage you not to include email addresses, passwords, etc in any of your blog posts on FaceSay.com. Please be careful with what information you include in an email to us or any other third party. Email is not secure unless you use encryption.

Your Chocies and Rights

You retain control of your information. Symbionica will only use or share your personal information that we collect in order to fulfill your requests.  At the time you provide your information, you can choose whether you want to receive further communications about special offers, product information or other marketing messages (known as "opt-in"). You can "opt-out" at any time by simply sending an email to [email protected]. We provide a message at the bottom of our marketing emails to remind you of this option and allow you to conveniently opt-out (also known as "unsubscribe").
